Delegation of Chiba University Japan Visits ECUST

Headed by Professor Makoto Watanabe, former vice president of Chiba University in Japan, the Japanese paid a visit to the School of Art Design and Media on March 4th, 2025. Professor Zhu Weihong, academician of China Academy of Sciences and Vice President of East China University of Science and Technology, met with the Japanese guests and had a discussion and exchange on the construction of design discipline in ECUST. The meeting was also joined by Zhao Han, Secretary of the Party Committee of School of Art Design and Media, Zhang Zhang, Vice President, and teachers in charge of some main disciplines.

At the symposium, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on construction of art design major, core courses, personnel training and international exchanges. It is hoped that with a focus on national strategic needs, the two sides will further strengthen interaction, exchanges and cooperation, develop professional characteristics, cultivate more top-notch talents with high quality, and promote the high-quality development of design disciplines.
