Delegation of Osaka Metropolitan University Visits ECUST

Headed by Vice President Hiroshi Sakuragi, the delegation from Osaka Metropolitan University, Japan, paid a visit to ECUST on December 9th, 2024. Vice President Zhu Weihong met with the Japanese guests, and both sides exchanged views on consolidating current cooperation and deepening the partnership between the two universities.

During the meeting, they noted that both universities have actively engaged in multi-level cooperation, such as in the field of photocatalysis, with a solid foundation and distinctive features over the past two decades. Comprehensively implementing the “Two New and Two Great” strategic layout, namely New Energy, New Materials, and Great Health, Great Safety, ECUST hopes to strengthen interactions and elevate cooperation in broader areas such as biomedicine and green energy and aims to strengthen the cooperation and promote high-quality development of both universities.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed student joint training and the JMD international joint degree program, agreeing to advance practical cooperation promptly. During the visit, Vice President Sakuragi and his delegation also paid a visit to the Feringa Nobel Prize Scientists Joint Research Center at ECUST.
