Progress in Polymer Science Invites ECUST Scholars to Review on Development of Anti-drug Resistant Bacteria with Simulated Host Defense Peptides

Recently, the research team of Professor Liu Runhui were invited by editor-in-chief Jean-FrancoisLutz, and senior editors Professor Chuanbing Tang and Professor Michael Bockstaller from Progress in Polymer Science to write an article summarizing and commenting on the research progress in the field of antibacterial amino acid polymers simulating host defense peptides, focusing on its structural design, synthesis and related biomedical applications. The review is titled “Host defense peptide mimicking antimicrobial amino acid polymers and beyond: design, synthesis and biomedical applications” and published in the top review journal Progress in Polymer Science.

The review article is first authored by Wu Yueming, a postdoctoral fellow of “ New Doctoral Plan” in School of Materials Science and Engineering and corresponding-authored by Professor Liu Runhui. This research work was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Ministry of Science and Technology and China Postdoctoral Science Foundation.
