Communications Physics Publishes ECUST New Progress of Nonmagnetic Nonreciprocal Single Photon
Recently, the team of Professor Gong Shangqing and Professor Niu Yueping from the School of Physics, ECUST has made important progress in the research of non-magnetic optical isolation with normal temperature, noiseless single photon, and the article was published in Communications Physics with the title “Noiseless single-photon isolator at room temperature”.
The research successfully applied the principle of non-magnetic nonreciprocal transmission based on the thermal motion of atomic gas to true single photon. The article is co-authored by Associate Professor Zhang Shicheng and doctoral candidate Zhan Yifan, and corresponding authored by Professor Niu Yueping. The research work has been financially supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Shanghai Natural Science Foundation, Sailing and Morning Light Project.
