Journal of American Chemical Society Publishes ECUST New Progress in Conjugated Molecular Luminescence Mechanism

Recently, the research team of Academician Tian He from the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering and the Feringa Nobel Prize Scientists Joint Research Center of ECUST has made important progress in the research of vibration-induced luminescence (VIE) mechanism again. The related research article was published in Journal of American Chemical Society with the title of “Interaction of Stereoeffects and Aromaticity Reverses to Expand the Structural/Electronic Responses of Dihydrophenazine”.

The research wrok was mainly completed by Doctoral Candidates Jin Xin and Li Sifan of the School of Chemistry of our university, under the academic guidance of Specially Appointed Researcher Zhang Zhiyun. The research work received guidance from Ademician Tian He and Professor Su Jianhua, and support from Professor Qu Dahui and Professor Hua Jianli. It has also receided help from Professor Xu Xin of Fudan University on computational chemistry, and help from Professor Chen Gaquan of East China Normal University and Researcher Jin Shengye of Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences on ultrafast spectroscopy. The research has been financially supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Frontier Science Center of Ministry of Education of Materials Biology and Dynamic Chemistry, Shanghai Science and Technology Major Project, Shanghai Science and Technology Committee, and Feringa Nobel Prize Scientists Joint Research Center.
