Nature Photonics Publishes ECUST Breakthrough Progress of Intrinsic Chiral Photoswitches in Digital Photoprogramming of Liquid-Crystal Superstructures
Recently, the international authoritative academic journal Nature Photonics pulished online the breakthrough research progress in the application of optical coded liquid crystal superstructure with the title of “Digital photoprogramming of liquid-crystal superstructures featuring intrinsic chiral photoswitches”. The research was done through the cooperation of Professor Zhu Weihong from the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering, and the Frontier Science Center of the Ministry of Education of Materials Biology and Dynamic Chemistry, EUCST, Professor Zheng Zhigang from the School of Physics, ECUST and Professor Feringa from the Feringa Nobel Prize Scientists Joint Research Center, ECUST.
Through the cooperation with Professor Zhang Zhipeng, Professor Qu Dahui and Professor Feringa of Feringa Nobel Prize Scientists Joint Research Center, and under the academic supervision of Professor Zhu Weihong and Professor Zheng Zhigang, the research work was mainly conducted by Doctoral Candidate Hu Honglong of the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering, ECUST. It has also received support from Academician Tian He and has been financially supported by the Frontier Science Center of the Ministry of Education of Materials Biology and Dynamic Chemistry, the Basic Science Center Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Outstanding Youth Science Foundation of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Major Science and Technology Projects in Shanghai.
