Journal of American Chemical Society Publishes ECUST Latest Research Article on Treating Drug-resistant Bacteria Infection
Recently, the research group of Professor Liu Runhui from the School of Material Science, ECUST has made new achievements in the research on the treatment of drug-resistant bacteria infection. Researchers have come up with important new structural design ideas by using β polypeptide polymer to simulate natural reservoir defense peptide. The research article was published in Journal of American Chemical Society under the title of “Secondary Amine Pendant β-Peptide Polymers Displaying Potent Antibacterial Activity and Promising Therapeutic Potential in Treating MRSA-induced Wound Infections and Keratitis”.
The article is first-authored by Doctoral Candidate Qian Yuxin of EUCST, and corresponding-authored by Professor Liu Runhui of ECUST and Professor Samuel H. Gellman of the University of Wisconsin. The research was funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
