ACS Catalysis Publishes ECUST Latest Research Progress of Visible Light-induced Radical Chemistry of Alkylene Cyclopropane
Recently, ACS Catalysis, a journal of American Chemical Society with high impact factors, published the latest research result of the research team of Professor Shi Min --- “Silyl Radical-Mediated Carbocyclization of Acrylamide-/Vinyl Sulfonamide-Attached Alkylidenecyclopropanes via Photoredox Catalysis with a Catalytic Amount of Silane Reagent”. A catalytic amount of silane was used to induce the intramolecular carbocyclisation of acrylamide or vinylsulfonamide-linked alkylidene cyclopropane (ACPs), and the polybasic heterocyclic compounds containing lactam or sulfonamide were efficiently constructed.
The research work was mainly completed by doctoral candidate Zhang Xiaoyu, under the guidance of Professor Shi Min and received theoretical support from Associate researcher Wei Yin on DFT calculation, and also received great help from Ning Chao, a graduate student, Mao Ben, an undergraduate student (a top-notch talent from the School of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering), and other students in the laboratory. The research was financially funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
